Virtual
Prototyping: ASIC/Model Libraries
Our products are in the area of virtual prototyping - commercializing
technologies, tools, and libraries, not just at the detailed system level,
but at all levels of abstraction - from requirements to microcode/clock-level
implementations. VP Technologies, Inc. provides cost models (TM), performance
models, and detailed full-behavioral (TM) fully-functional models of commercial
off-the-shelf (COTS) components (processors, interconnection switches
and routers, and protocols/algorithms) to the industry.
Cost models
allow designs of electronics products that meet schedule, cost, and economic
considerations, while performance models rapidly allow the evaluation
of COTS architectures and networks for applications. Fully
functional models allow rapid system-level integration (SLI) and test
of hardware and software subsystems. The models and cores (in VHDL
compiled format) are licensed for purposes of system-level and component-level simulation.
Our earlier models, developed as part of DARPA's RASSP program are being
used worldwide. We have now extended our range of services into design
of flexible reconfigurable processor cores that you can map applications
onto (while retaining a compliant Instruction Set).
